In ranked matches, every placement earns or costs league points: the top three gain points, the bottom three lose them. Seven leagues run from Bronze to Legend, and every completed ranked match earns at least one chest, more for the top three. Chests contain cards and crowns that strengthen your heroes from one match to the next. This page of the Blasonia guide explains these rules. Blasonia is free on Windows PC: download it from the game page.
League points
| Place | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | +40 |
| 2nd | +25 |
| 3rd | +10 |
| 4th | −10 |
| 5th | −20 |
| 6th | −30 |
In Bronze and Silver, losses are halved, and you never drop below zero. Placement in a match follows the order of elimination: if two players fall in the same round, the one with fewer health points is ranked lower. Forfeiting gives you the worst place still available. The rules that decide eliminations are on the how to play page.
The seven leagues
| League | Points needed |
|---|---|
| Bronze | 0 |
| Silver | 300 |
| Gold | 600 |
| Platinum | 900 |
| Diamond | 1,200 |
| Master | 1,500 |
| Legend | 1,800 |
Your league also sets the maximum collection level used in matches (see below): 3 in Bronze, then one more per league, up to 9 in Legend.
Chests
| Place | Chests |
|---|---|
| 1st | Gold, Silver and Wooden |
| 2nd | Silver and Wooden |
| 3rd | Silver |
| 4th to 6th | Wooden |
Each chest has a 10% chance of being one quality higher. You have 4 slots: a chest won while they're all full is lost, so remember to open them. Only one chest unlocks at a time. Chests are only earned in ranked matches, and never after forfeiting.
- Wooden chest: 8 cards spread across 2 heroes, 20 to 40 crowns; 30 minutes to open.
- Silver chest: 20 cards across 3 heroes, 60 to 100 crowns; 3 hours.
- Gold chest: 50 cards across 4 heroes, including at least one costing 3 or more, 150 to 250 crowns; 8 hours.
- Royal chest: 120 cards across 5 heroes, including at least one costing 5, 400 to 600 crowns; 12 hours.
The heroes in a chest are drawn at random; cheaper heroes come up more often than Legendary ones.
Hero collection level
A hero's cards and crowns raise its collection level, from 1 to 9. Each level above the first gives that hero 2% health and attack damage in matches, up to the limit your league allows.
| To reach level | Cards | Crowns |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 2 | 5 |
| 3 | 4 | 20 |
| 4 | 10 | 50 |
| 5 | 20 | 150 |
| 6 | 50 | 400 |
| 7 | 100 | 1,000 |
| 8 | 200 | 2,000 |
| 9 | 400 | 4,000 |
This bonus stays modest: in a match, synergies, stars and items are what make the difference (see the synergies and heroes pages).
Seasons
A season lasts one month and starts on the 1st at 8:00 (UTC). Each one has its own special rule, such as three stronger featured heroes or one extra component from monsters, and its own selection of fifteen blessings (see items and blessings).
At the end of the season, you receive rewards based on the best league reached: a Silver chest from Silver, an extra Gold chest in Gold, a second Gold chest in Platinum, and a Royal chest in Diamond. On top of that come cosmetic rewards: the season crest for everyone, a portrait frame from Gold, a victory effect from Master, and a title and an arena in Legend. Your points are then halved and capped at 900; in Bronze and Silver, they stay the same.
Frequently asked questions
Do you lose points for finishing fourth?
Yes, 10 points (5 in Bronze and Silver). Only the top three gain points, but everyone receives at least a Wooden chest.
How do you get a Royal chest?
A Gold chest won in a match has a 10% chance of becoming a Royal chest. The end of the season also gives one to everyone who reached the Diamond league.
What happens if my chest slots are full?
The chest you win is lost. Open your chests regularly: only one unlocks at a time, from 30 minutes for a Wooden chest to 12 hours for a Royal chest.
