This Blasonia guide brings together everything you need to finish in the top three: how a match unfolds, managing gold and levels, the twelve synergies, the twenty-four heroes, items and blessings, then leagues, chests and seasons. Each topic has its own detailed page; this one gives you the big picture. Blasonia, Djoox Studio's medieval auto battler, is free and plays on Windows PC; the Android version is coming soon to Google Play.
Blasonia in thirty seconds
A match brings together six players. Each starts with 100 health points and one hero on their bench. Every round, you get a few seconds to buy heroes from your shop and place them on your half of the hexagonal board, then the fight plays out on its own against another player or against monsters. Losing a fight costs health points; at zero, you're eliminated.
Three copies of the same hero merge into a stronger two-star version, and you then choose its path (A or B), which changes its ability. Heroes from the same kingdom or the same class activate synergies at 2 and then 4 different heroes. Monsters drop components, which you combine two at a time into full items.
The top three win: first place gets three chests, second gets two, third gets one. In ranked matches, your placement also raises or lowers your league points.
The five pages of the guide
1. How to play: rounds, gold and levels
The page on how to play Blasonia walks through how a match unfolds (monster rounds, duels, the Hero Market, blessings), your income each round with interest and streaks, the cost of rerolls and experience, levels, the odds of each cost in the shop and the damage from a loss. Read this page first.
2. Synergies: kingdoms and classes
Six kingdoms (Dawnvale, Sylvania, Iron Clan, Green Horde, Ossuary, Ashborn) and six classes (Guardian, Blade, Archer, Arcanist, Shadow, Priest). Every hero belongs to one kingdom and one class. The page on Blasonia synergies gives the exact effect of each tier and the heroes that trigger it.
3. Heroes, stars, paths and awakening
Twenty-four heroes, from cost 1 (Common) to cost 5 (Legendary). The page on Blasonia heroes covers each of them, their ability, their two paths and their awakened form, and explains merging and the feats that awaken a hero.
4. Items and blessings
Six components, twenty-one full items, and blessings offered three times per match. The page on items and blessings has the recipe table and the effect of every item.
5. Leagues, chests and seasons
The page on leagues, chests and seasons explains the points earned for each placement, the seven leagues, what chests contain and how they open, hero collection levels and end-of-season rewards.
Five tips for your first matches
- Save gold: every 10 gold you hold earns 1 gold of interest per round, up to 5. Going from 9 to 10 gold is often worth more than a reroll.
- Aim for a 2-hero synergy early, then 4: two different heroes from the same kingdom or the same class are enough for the first tier.
- Place heroes by role: Guardians and Blades in front, Archers, Arcanists and Priests in the back, Shadows on a flank. Every card in the game shows the recommended position.
- Put your items on a hero who stays: a cost-1 hero you sell later returns its items to the bench, but a stable carrier is more effective.
- Watch your health: a losing streak earns gold, but damage goes up with every stage.
Frequently asked questions
Is Blasonia free?
Yes. Blasonia is a free download for Windows PC from the game page, and the Android version is coming soon to Google Play.
How long does a match last?
A match usually lasts 25 to 30 minutes. Each round has a planning phase of 20 to 30 seconds, followed by a fight of 30 seconds at most.
Do you have to win to get chests?
Not only: in ranked matches, the top three receive three, two or one chest, and the other three receive a Wooden chest. Forfeiting gives no chest.
Is combat decided by luck?
Fights play out on their own, based on your heroes, their stars, their items, their synergies and their positioning. Critical strikes involve some chance (10% base), and the shop draws heroes at random according to your level.
