Stars and paths

Three copies of a hero merge into two stars: its health and damage are multiplied by 1.8, and its ability is 1.5 times stronger. At that moment, you choose its path, A or B: it changes the hero's look and its ability. Three two-star copies of the same path make a three-star hero (health and damage ×3.24, ability ×2.25). If the timer runs out before you choose, Path A is selected.

The more a hero costs, the higher its stats and its ability. Items from the merged copies move to the hero you keep, three at most; the rest go back to the item bench.

Abilities

A hero casts its ability when its mana bar is full. It gains 10 mana per attack and some mana when it takes damage; Priests also gain mana every second thanks to their synergy.

Hero awakening

Every hero has an awakened form, unlocked by a feat achieved in combat on the board. Progress carries over from one fight to the next. An awakened hero gains 25% health, damage and ability power, whatever its number of stars; its ability stays the same.

Class Feat to awaken the hero
Guardian Take 3,500 damage, plus 600 per point of cost
Blade Score 4 takedowns, plus 1 per point of cost
Archer Deal 3,000 damage, plus 600 per point of cost
Arcanist Cast its ability 8 times, plus 1 per point of cost
Shadow Score 3 takedowns in a single fight
Priest Heal or shield 2,600 HP, plus 500 per point of cost

Each hero's synergies are detailed on the synergies page, and the items that suit them on the items and blessings page.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best hero in Blasonia?

No hero wins alone: a team's strength comes from its synergies, its stars and its items. Cost-5 heroes (Ylvane, Morwen, Ignar) are the most powerful, but they're rare in the shop and only appear from level 6.

Can you change paths after choosing one?

Not on the same hero. For a three-star hero, you need three two-star copies of the same path: so pick the same path every time you merge.

Do heroes get stronger between matches?

Yes, a little: cards found in chests raise a hero's collection level, which gives 2% health and damage per level. This bonus is capped according to your league, as explained on the leagues, chests and seasons page.
